What sort of quality control does Canada have for medications?
The Canadian government has very strict requirements for the manufacturing of medication in Canada. These requirements are very similar to the requirements found around the world. Get more details on Canadian drug protection information . Some of the the drugs sold in Canada are actually manufactured in United States and repackaged for sale in Canada. Generic medications are all manufactured in Canada under Canada's stringent requirements.
No. The pharmacy does not have all medications that are available in the United States.
Fortunately, the majority of medications are available in Canada.
I received my shipment, but my drugs look different! Did I get the wrong shipment?
No. Please do not panic if the drug you ordered from us looks different from the one you get from your local pharmacy. Please read the information below:
If you ordered Generics from us:
If you are used to Brand Name pills and you have ordered a Generics from us, the pills we send you WILL LOOK DIFFERENT. Generics do not look the same as the Brand Name products, even though they have the SAME ACTIVE INGREDIENT and work in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. Also, if you compare two different Generics, they will look different if they are made by 2 different companies.
If you ordered brand name drugs from us:
The same Brand Name pill may look slightly different in Canada than it does in the United States. For example, Celexa 20mg is a peach colored pill in the US, yet the Canadian pill is white and a little bit smaller than the US pill. Both pills are Celexa 20mg, both have the SAME ACTIVE INGREDIENT, and both are made by the SAME COMPANY. But, for whatever reason, the manufacturer decided to make the Canadian pill a different color.
